    Sourcess for Missions Education Needed

I am a new Women on Missions program chairman.  I am looking for places in which I can gather statistical information or facts on various issues.  Since we are trying to attract more women to our meetings, I am going to start with the local mission education then work my way to international. Hopefully, this will be less intimidating to the younger women in our church.

The type of information that I am looking for at the moment is information on middle and high school youth.  For example, homosexual agendas in the school systems, drugs, etc....I am looking to see how rooted they are in the schools now and the pressures an confusion that our teens and tweens are facing.  This will be incorporated into our local missions and can even branch into national missions education.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or websites that you might know of would greatly be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Alicia

Here's a research site that may be helpful to you. It's www.missionalresearch.info. ON the home page, click on "Know Culture." On the Culture page you'll find topics to choose from on the right-hand sidebar.  There's several research papers for each topic including homosexuality, abortion, abstinence, and AIDS. Hope this helps.
