The Foundry is a new church plant in Greater Philadelphia Baptist Assn. We are located in a college cluster community near the county seat. We have 5 secular college campuses & 10,000 unchurched people under the age of 34 within a 2 mile radius. We are a mission fest church for Oct 10-14, 2007.
Swarthmore is a strong arts area. With the large number of campuses & students we would like to organize an annual Christian Film & Arts Festival.
Film & Video -
We are looking for the following: Independent Christian Films, features, shorts, commericals, issue or evangelistic videos, claymations, cartoons, etc... which we can show during the event. If your church media department has developed film or video pieces here is an opportunity to be used.
We are seeking churches in our region to partner with on this, where during mission fest we could have 6-10 churches all show the same films.
this way we impact our region for Christ.
Art Outreach -
We are organizing an art bus to travel during the summer to set up painting stations where we invite locals to paint theor view of the image of God
During the festival we will hold a gallery showing to inivte the community into our church so that they can see what the community thinks about who God is.
We need to raise funds for art supplies & materials. Also we need to promote the event & need funds to cover costs. We have a church in the area outside of the SBC willing to match funds up to $10,000 in dollar for dollar matching grant.
